CrossCountry Flying Club - Varna is founded in Spring 2000 from five famous paragliding pilots in Varna:
Bogidar Valchev - former parachutist and parachuting instructor, now flies Gin Gliders Nomad
Ivelin Iliev - former national team parachutist, national parachuting champion, one of the first and the best paragliding pilots in Bulgaria, paragliding instructor, now flies Airea Tension
Jordan Penev - one of the first paragliding pilots in Bulgaria and former hanggliding pilot, constructed and made own paragliders, now flies Gradient Avax RX
Slavi Vassilev - one of most interesting paragliding pilots in Bulgaria, paragliding instructor, now flies Xix Top 2
Stephan Ivanov - one of the best paraglider and hangglider pilots in Bulgaria, few times national paragliding champion, now flies Gradient Avax RS
Now the club has 20 members and grows slowly. In last two competitions the club members hold two first places, one third and one fourth place.
